Tyler Mizzell is a quarterback who began his college career at Wake Forest before transferring to Ball State. He appeared in one game for the Demon Deacons in 2024 against North Carolina A&T (two snaps) and redshirted in 2023. In 2025 at Division II Concord University, Mizzell passed for 2,889 yards and 26 touchdowns while completing 57 percent of his passes, earning second-team all-league honors in the Mountain East Conference. He averaged 262.6 passing yards per game and rushed for 377 net yards as the Mountain Lions' second leading rusher. Mizzell threw for 200 or more yards in 9 of 11 games, including a season-high 391 yards with three touchdowns against West Liberty. He hails from East Lincoln High School in Denver, North Carolina.
