The Portland, Oregon native began at Oregon State as a preferred walk-on before transferring to Idaho in 2021, where he earned first team All-Big Sky honors as a senior in 2023. He completed his college career at California as a graduate student, starting 12 games and recording 46 tackles, two interceptions, and five passes defensed. In 2025, his first professional season, Harris defended five passes for Tennessee.
