Sam Darnold is a 6'3", 225-pound quarterback from Capistrano Beach, California, who played two seasons at USC after redshirting in 2015. The New York Jets selected him third overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. Darnold has played for five franchises across his eight completed seasons: the Jets (2018–20), Panthers (2021–22), 49ers (2023), Vikings (2024), and Seahawks (2025–present). In 2025, his first year with Seattle, he completed 379 of 568 passes for 4,720 yards and 30 touchdowns while rushing for 109 yards on 40 carries.
