Jalan Gaines is a 6'3", 245-pound strong-side linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks. He began his college career at the University of Dubuque in 2021, appearing in 10 games as a freshman with 21 tackles, 4.0 sacks, and nine quarterback hurries. Gaines transferred to Illinois State for the 2022-24 seasons, accumulating 112 tackles (73 solo), 10.5 sacks, and five passes defensed. He signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2025, but did not appear on an NFL roster during the 2025 season. Gaines re-signed with the Seahawks as a free agent on February 13, 2026.
