Background & career

Donte Kent is a right cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, selected in the seventh round (229th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft. The 5'10", 195-pound defensive back played five seasons at Central Michigan from 2020–24, appearing in 53 games with 48 starts. At the collegiate level, he compiled 234 tackles (171 solo), 47 pass breakups, and two interceptions while earning three All-MAC honors. Kent set a school record for pass breakups and ranked second in career pass deflections with 49. He missed the entire 2025 season with an injury and has yet to make his NFL debut.
