Daniel Scott is a safety for the Indianapolis Colts. The 6'1", 215-pound defensive back was selected by Indianapolis in the fifth round (158th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft out of the University of California. At Cal from 2017 to 2022, Scott appeared in 49 games with 28 starts, accumulating 207 tackles and seven interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. He led the Bears in interceptions during consecutive seasons in 2021 and 2022, earning First Team All-Pac-12 honors from Pro Football Focus in 2021 and Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 accolades in 2022. Scott was placed on the Injured Reserve list on October 4, 2025, and has spent his 2023 and 2024 seasons on injured reserve.
