Bio

Barryn Sorrell is a 6'3", 261-pound right outside linebacker for the Green Bay Packers. The New Orleans native played four seasons at Texas (2021-24), appearing in 49 games with 40 starts. Over his final three seasons, he led the Longhorns with 15½ sacks. In 2024, his final college year, Sorrell started all 16 games and recorded 44 tackles (16 solo), 11 tackles for a loss, six sacks, and 12 QB hurries. He earned All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2023 after posting 37 tackles (17 solo), four sacks, and four-and-a-half tackles for a loss. Selected 124th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, Sorrell became the first defensive player from Texas drafted by Green Bay since 1952. In his rookie 2025 season, he recorded 1.5 sacks.
