The Canton, Michigan native played college football at Saginaw Valley State from 2017–22, appearing in 44 games with 24 starts and recording 232 total tackles, 20.0 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and five interceptions. Signed by Detroit as an undrafted free agent in 2023, Nowaske is entering his fourth season with the team. During 2024, he logged his first-career interception in his first NFL start against Tennessee on 10/27/24 and recorded a game-ending sack in a 31-29 win at Minnesota in Week 7. In 2025, he registered 1.0 sack.
