Ahmed Hassanein is a 6'2", 271-pound right defensive end who joined the Detroit Lions as a sixth-round pick (196th overall) in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Boise State product played four seasons for the Broncos from 2021 to 2024, accumulating 48 tackles in 2024 with 9.5 sacks and one fumble recovery across 14 starts. Over his college career, Hassanein recorded 35.0 tackles for loss and 24.0 sacks, the fourth-most in program history. He earned First-Team All-Mountain West honors in 2023 and was a Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year finalist in 2024. Hassanein is the first defensive lineman the Lions have selected from Boise State.
