Bio
Szmyt is a placekicker with three years of professional experience. He played five seasons at Syracuse as a walk-on, redshirting his freshman year before winning the 2018 Lou Groza Award. At the college level, he made 805 of 105 field goals with a long of 54 yards and connected on 199 of 203 extra points. Szmyt joined the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2024, and was waived on August 8. He signed with the Cleveland Browns' practice squad on December 24, 2024, was released on December 31, and later signed a reserve/futures contract with Cleveland on January 6, 2025.
