Bryce Young, a former Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama, was selected first overall by the Carolina Panthers in the 2023 NFL Draft, making him the third quarterback taken by the franchise in the first round. Young finished his college career second in Alabama history with 8,356 passing yards and 80 passing touchdowns despite starting only in 2021 and 2022. In 2021, he set single-season program records with 4,872 passing yards and 47 touchdowns. During his 2022 season, Young recorded 3,328 passing yards and 32 touchdown passes while earning second-team All-SEC honors and winning the Sugar Bowl MVP. Through three seasons in the NFL, the 5'10", 204-pound quarterback currently holds a four-year contract with the Panthers.
