Junior Poyser is a defensive tackle from Brampton, Ontario, who attended Williston Northampton School in Massachusetts before playing at Buffalo. Standing 6'2" and weighing 328 pounds, Poyser redshirted his freshman year in 2023. During the 2024 season, he appeared in 12 games and was named Academic All-MAC. In 2025 as a redshirt sophomore, Poyser played in all 12 games with seven starts, recording 31 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. He earned All-MAC Third Team honors and posted an 83.0 pass rush grade, the second-highest among MAC defensive linemen. Poyser transferred to Wisconsin as a redshirt junior.
