Bio

Jacob Anderson is a 6'4", 290-pound nose tackle from Davis, Illinois, who played two varsity seasons at Durand High School. As a senior, he recorded 70 tackles, five tackles for loss, and eight sacks while earning all-conference honors and team captain status. Anderson redshirted his freshman year at Illinois State in 2022, then started 10 games as a redshirt freshman in 2023, finishing with 34 tackles, five tackles for loss, and one sack. In 2024, he earned All-MVFC Second Team honors after starting all 14 games with 59 tackles, 3.0 sacks, and 6.5 tackles for loss, including a 55-yard interception return for a touchdown in an FCS playoff win. During the 2025 season as a redshirt junior, Anderson appeared in all 17 games with 17 starts, posting 52 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks as Illinois State reached the FCS National Championship.
