BJ Carey is a 6'1", 190-pound free safety from Downey, California, who transferred to Western Kentucky after three seasons at Weber State. At Weber State, Carey appeared in 33 games, playing in all contests during his final two seasons. In 2025, he recorded 45 tackles, four tackles for loss, and one interception. The previous year, he totaled 35 tackles, one tackle for loss, and a pass breakup. As a true freshman in 2023, Carey had 13 tackles and earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors. He graduated from Downey High School in 2023.
