Xavier Anderson is a true freshman tight end for West Virginia from Martinsburg, WV, who attended Spring Valley High School. A three-star recruit ranked 1924 overall in the 2026 class, Anderson played tight end, wide receiver, and defensive line in high school. During his senior year on defense, he recorded 18 tackles for loss and 12 sacks while also forcing three fumbles and recovering seven. He earned 2025 Eastern Panhandle Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors and was named All-State first team on defense. Anderson also played basketball, averaging 7.1 points per game on a Spring Mills team that won the Class 4A state title in 2024.
