Bio

Shane Cornali is a safety for the West Virginia Mountaineers. The 6'2", 191-pound redshirt freshman from Hickory, PA, attended Fort Cherry High School, where he played receiver under coach Tanner Garry. At Fort Cherry, Cornali set school single-season and career interception records and earned three All-Black Hills Conference selections. He was named all-district and to the Observer Reporter Super 22, and helped his team reach the PIAA championship game with a 14-1 record. A four-sport athlete, Cornali also competed in basketball, track, and baseball, winning a gold medal in the 400m relay at the PIAA Class 2A championships. Before joining West Virginia, he redshirted while playing outside linebacker at Wheeling University and earned Academic All-Mountain East Conference honors. From Fort Cherry · Hickory, PA.
