Nick Taylor is a junior transfer cornerback from Appalachian State, standing 6'1" and weighing 193 pounds. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, he transferred to West Virginia in Spring 2025 after appearing in seven games at App State as a freshman, including one start, and recording 10 tackles with one pass breakup on 147 snaps. In his first season with the Mountaineers, Taylor appeared in 11 games and logged 144 defensive snaps plus 207 on special teams. He finished with 20 total tackles, including 11 unassisted, and recorded his first career interception against Utah, when he co-led the defense with eight tackles including four solo stops. Taylor earned Academic All-Big 12 Conference First-Team honors.
