Sam Vyhlidal is a 6'4", 222-pound tight end from Lake Oswego, Oregon, who transferred to Lake Oswego High School prior to his senior season after attending Mountainside High School in Beaverton. As a senior in 2025, he earned unanimous All-Three Rivers League first-team honors at tight end and outside linebacker while helping lead Lake Oswego to a 12-1 record and the state's 6A Open Championship. At Mountainside as a junior in 2024, he contributed to an 8-3 season including a 5-0 league mark, with the team reaching the 6A Open quarterfinals. He was named All-Metro League first-team running back as a sophomore in 2023. Ranked the No. 3 recruit in Oregon by national outlets+ and the No. 45 tight end nationally by recruiting services, Vyhlidal joined Washington as a true freshman in 2026.
