Paul Mencke Jr. is a safety for the Washington Huskies who stands 6'3" and weighs 201 pounds. A native of Cibolo, Texas, he attended Samuel Clemens High School, where he earned all-district second team honors in 2021, 2022, and 2023, along with all-academic recognition. He also competed in track and field, finishing fourth in the 4x400 relay at the 2023 UIL 6A District 27 meet. Mencke redshirted during his 2024 debut season. In 2025, he appeared in seven games including his UW debut versus Ohio State and contests against Maryland, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Purdue, UCLA, and Boise State, recording one tackle against Purdue. He earned the team's Mark Drennan Defensive Scout Squad MVP award.
