Derek Zammit is a true freshman quarterback for Washington from Lincoln Park, New Jersey, where he attended DePaul Catholic HS. Over four varsity seasons with the Spartans, Zammit led the program to three state championships and one runner-up finish. As a senior in 2025, he completed 153 of 236 passes for 2,008 yards with 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing for 808 yards and nine scores on 89 carries. In 2024, he recorded 150 completions for 2,582 yards and 35 passing touchdowns, adding 560 rushing yards and six scores. Zammit earned first-team all-state honors as a junior and second-team all-state recognition following his senior season. He participated in the Under Armour All American Game in 2024.
