Carsten Reynolds is a 6'3", 213-pound weak-side linebacker from Sedro-Woolley, Washington who transferred to Washington State from South Dakota State. At his high school, Reynolds earned conference player of the year honors at both quarterback and safety, and received all-conference recognition as a punter. He redshirted during his freshman year at South Dakota State in 2024. Reynolds enrolled at Washington State in January 2025 and participated in spring practice. During the 2025 season, he appeared in all 12 games primarily on special teams, recording three tackles with two on kickoff coverage and one on punt coverage. He tied for the team lead in special teams tackles and played 219 special teams snaps overall.
