Tylan McNichols is a linebacker from Decatur, MS who attended Newton County High School. He played two seasons at UAB before transferring to Wake Forest for 2026. As a true freshman in 2024, McNichols appeared in all 12 games and totaled 19 tackles, including five in his debut versus Alcorn State on Aug. 29. In 2025, he appeared in 10 games with seven starts, recording 39 tackles, two pass breakups, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery, with a career-high nine tackles on Nov. 8 at Rice.
