Carlos Hernandez, a 6'0" wide receiver from Alhambra, California, transferred to Wake Forest after two seasons at Washington State. During his 2023 freshman year with the Cougars, he appeared in all 12 games and recorded 24 receptions for 258 yards. He increased his production as a sophomore in 2024, appearing in eight games with six starts and posting 31 receptions for 397 yards and five touchdowns. In 2025, Hernandez played in all 13 games for the Demon Deacons, catching 40 passes for 611 yards and three receiving touchdowns. He contributed across special teams with 23 punt returns for 253 yards and one punt-return touchdown, adding a long of 88 yards.
