Josiah Persinger is a 5'11", 179-pound cornerback from Roanoke, Virginia, who attends Salem High School. A three-star recruit, Persinger earned First Team All-Region accolades at both running back and defensive back during his prep career. He also competed in track, recording a 10.58-second time in the 100-meter dash, the second-fastest mark in school history, and finished runner-up at the 2024 VHSL Class 4 State Championship in the same event. Now a sophomore, Persinger registered two solo tackles and one pass defensed during the 2025 season as a returning member of the Virginia roster.
