Jaylen Jones is a 6'1", 205-pound spur from Charlotte, NC who transferred to Virginia from Georgia State. At Butler High School, he was named all-state cornerback and received honorable mention all-state honors from North Carolina Sports Writers. During his time with the Panthers, Jones appeared in all 12 games in 2025, recording 66 tackles to finish runner-up on the team leaderboard. That season he added 4.5 tackles for loss, a career-first safety against Murray State, a forced fumble at Troy, and his first interception at Old Dominion. Jones earned SBC Honorable Mention recognition in 2025 and has been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. He is a psychology major at UVA.
