Eli Holstein is a 6'4", 234-pound quarterback from Zachary, Louisiana, who was a four-star recruit ranked 86th nationally in the class of 2023. He redshirted at Alabama in 2023 before transferring to Pittsburgh. In 2024, Holstein started all 10 games he appeared in, compiling 2,228 passing yards and 17 touchdown passes with seven interceptions while also rushing for 328 yards and three TDs. He finished 7-3 as a starter and was named ACC Rookie of the Year finalist. In 2025, he appeared in eight games with four starts, posting 1,081 passing yards and 12 touchdown passes against six interceptions, plus 88 rushing yards and one rushing TD. Holstein now plays for the Virginia Cavaliers.
