Alex Payne is a right tackle for Virginia from Gainesville, Georgia. A four-star recruit in the class of 2025, he was ranked No. 124 nationally by recruiting services, No. 159 by national outlets, and No. 194 by Rivals. In Georgia, he ranked as the No. 17 prospect according to recruiting services and the No. 16 offensive tackle nationally by that same service. Payne enrolled at USC in spring 2025 after graduating high school early but did not see game action as a true freshman before transferring to Virginia.
