Layth Ghannam is a left guard for Virginia Tech standing 6'4" and weighing 314 pounds. A native of Charleston, West Virginia, he was a four-year letterman at George Washington High School, where he captained the Patriots and earned two-time Class AAA All-State honors. As a senior in 2022, he posted 97 percent blocking while allowing one sack and recording 78 pancakes. Ghannam joined the Hokies as a four-star recruit ranked No. 1 in West Virginia. In 2025, he appeared in 12 games with 10 starts, logging 598 offensive snaps as the team averaged 182.4 rushing yards per game, fourth in the ACC.
