John Love is a placekicker for Virginia Tech from Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he played at Spartanburg High School. A three-star recruit in the class of 2022, Love made his collegiate debut in November 2022 and has since appeared in all games across multiple seasons. In 2025, he converted 15 of 20 field goal attempts for a 75.0 percentage, including a long of 56 yards against South Carolina, while making all 25 extra point attempts. Love has recorded 276 career points and maintains a streak of 114 consecutive made PATs. He was named ACC Specialist of the Week twice in 2024 and earned All-ACC Honorable Mention honors in both 2023 and 2024.
