Jahmari DeLoatch is a defensive back for Virginia Tech from Chesapeake, Virginia, where he attended Oscar Smith High School. As a senior, he recorded over 40 tackles, three interceptions with one returned for a touchdown, a fumble recovery, and three punt return touchdowns while helping Oscar Smith to a 15-0 record and VHSL Class 6 state championship. He earned all-state honors and was invited to the 2025 U.S. Army Bowl. DeLoatch also competes in track and field, including qualifying as a Virginia Class 6 state competitor in the 100 meters. In 2025, he appeared in two games, tallying two tackles with 0.5 TFL and one pass breakup.
