Cortez Harris is a 6'2", 247-pound defensive end from Largo, Maryland, who attended Riverdale Baptist High School. At Riverdale Baptist under head coach Olandis Gary, Harris recorded 15 tackles and 6.5 sacks in four games as a senior before suffering a season-ending injury; he also posted 26 tackles and six sacks as a junior and 20 tackles and 15 sacks as a sophomore. Harris was rated as a four-star prospect by national outlets and a three-star by recruiting services. He transferred to Virginia Tech after appearing in two games at Penn State in 2025, where he redshirted as a true freshman.
