Darnell Williams is a safety from Texarkana, Texas, who attended Texas High before joining UTEP. As a senior, he earned All-District 7-5A Division II honors after recording 78 tackles, including 47 solo stops, along with three interceptions, five pass breakups, and three forced fumbles. His high school team went 12-1 with a 6-0 district record and won the district championship. In his 2025 freshman season with the Miners, Williams appeared in seven games and posted five tackles with one quarterback hurry and one forced fumble, including a season-high four tackles and a forced fumble against Delaware.
