Semi Taulanga is a tight end from Santa Ana, California, who attended Mater Dei High School. A three-star recruit, he was part of Mater Dei squads that captured the CIF-SS Division I title in 2024 and the CIF Open Division state title in 2023, earning MVP honors in the 2023 state championship game. During his senior season, Taulanga recorded 26 tackles with 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, an interception, and a receiving touchdown. In 2025, he appeared in 10 games with one start at BYU, recording 2 receptions for 3 yards with a long catch of 10 yards.
