Paul Fitzgerald is a 6'4", 256-pound left defensive end from Idaho Falls, ID, who transferred to Utah from Utah State. A three-star recruit from Thunder Ridge HS rated as the fourth-best prospect in Idaho, Fitzgerald appeared in 15 games with 13 starts at Utah State from 2022-23, compiling 46 tackles, 9.0 TFL, and 8.0 sacks. He recorded 3.0 sacks against Georgia State in the Idaho Potato Bowl, tying the school record for a bowl game. In 2024, Fitzgerald played in nine games for the Utes across defense and special teams, recording four tackles. During the 2025 regular season, he appeared in four games with 11 tackles, 1.5 TFL, and 0.5 sack, including a season-high six stops versus Cal Poly.
