Nate Ritchie is a 6'2", 207-pound safety from Cedar Hills, Utah, who attended Lone Peak High School as a four-star recruit. He arrived at Utah in 2020 and started all five games at strong safety that season, recording 28 total tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sack. Over his first four years, Ritchie appeared in multiple games annually across 2023 and 2024, earning Academic All-Big 12 honors in 2024. In 2025, he started the first five games before an injury, totaling 25 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss with one pass breakup, including career-best performances of 13 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss against Texas Tech.
