Jaydon Wright is a junior running back for UL Monroe from Kankakee, Illinois. At Bishop McNamara High School, Wright rushed for 579 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior, adding 236 receiving yards. He recorded 153 rushing yards and three touchdowns in a game against Christ the King, and scored three touchdowns against Leo Catholic. Wright was named All-Chicagoland Christian Conference and placed on the 2023 Daily Journal All-Area Football team. A consensus three-star recruit, he was cited as the No. 23 prospect in Illinois by recruiting services. Wright transferred to UL Monroe after missing the 2024 season at Minnesota due to injury and redshirted in 2025.
