Ty Bartrum is a 6'1", 205-pound free safety from Pomeroy, Ohio, who attended Spring Valley High School in West Virginia. He played four years at Harvard, redshirting in 2022 before appearing in all 10 games in 2023 with nine starts, recording 78 tackles and three interceptions. In 2024, Bartrum started all 10 contests and posted 83 tackles with five tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception, and four pass breakups while earning All-Ivy League First Team honors. As a redshirt junior in 2025, he started all 11 games, compiling 83 tackles and forcing two fumbles while being named All-Ivy League First Team for the second consecutive year and earning FCS All-America recognition. Bartrum now transfers to UCF as a redshirt senior.
