Bio

Josh Schell is a 6'4", 265-pound linebacker/defensive tackle from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan who transferred to UCF from Tennessee. Schell spent his first three seasons at Grand Valley State, redshirting in 2022 while also appearing in 13 relief games for the baseball team with 18 strikeouts. In 2023, he played in eight games and recorded 11 tackles, one quarterback hurry, and a pass breakup. During his 2024 redshirt sophomore campaign, Schell appeared in 13 games, posting 35 tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks. He was named to the 2025 SEC Academic Honor Roll as a redshirt junior at Tennessee before joining the Knights. From Mt. Pleasant · Mt. Pleasant, MI.
