Nigel Tate is a defensive tackle from Washington, DC who attended Bullis School before playing at Boston College. A three-star recruit in the 2021 class, Tate appeared in three games as a freshman, including contests against Colgate, UMass, and Virginia Tech, where he registered a tackle. He saw limited action in 2023, playing in nine games with eight tackles and four assists against Virginia on 9/30, plus two tackles at Georgia Tech on 10/21. Tate did not appear in games during 2022 or 2024. He transferred to UAB as a graduate student but missed the 2025 season due to injury.
