Anta'Veon McKenzie is a 6'1", 195-pound safety who transferred to UAB from Sacramento State. A 2023 graduate of Edison High School in Stockton, California, McKenzie redshirted in 2023 before seeing action in four regular season games and two NCAA FCS Playoff contests, recording seven tackles at North Dakota. In 2024, he played in 10 games with three starts, accumulating 37 total tackles including 21 solos, with a season-high eight tackles against Weber State. During 2025, McKenzie appeared in all 12 games, starting nine, posting 48 total tackles including 35 solos and registering a season-high seven stops at Nevada.
