Josh Smith, a 6'4" receiver from Heartland, Texas, attended Crandall High School where he accumulated 1,787 career receiving yards and earned four all-district selections. He redshirted in 2024 after appearing in four games. In 2025, Smith played in nine games with one start and caught nine passes for 201 yards and one touchdown. He recorded 112 receiving yards on four receptions against Temple on October 25, marking his first 100-yard game. Smith also registered a 43-yard reception and a touchdown against Army on November 22. He is a returning redshirt sophomore at Tulsa.
