TJ Thompson is a 6'0", 219-pound middle linebacker for the Troy Trojans. The Bolton, Mississippi native attended Warren Central HS before playing at East Central CC, where he recorded 68 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss in 2022. Thompson joined Troy in 2023 and appeared in all 14 games that season primarily on special teams. In 2025, his third season with the Trojans, he played in all 14 games and accumulated 44 total tackles (20 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception. He also recovered a fumble at ULM and recorded a defensive touchdown on a fumble recovery in the bowl game against Jacksonville State.
