Bryce Steele is a 6'1", 227-pound linebacker from Raleigh, North Carolina, who transferred to Troy from Boston College. A four-star recruit in the 2021 class, Steele played in 11 games as a freshman at BC, recording 27 tackles with 14 solos. In 2022, he appeared in 12 games and totaled 51 tackles with 24 solos, 5.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks. After missing 2023 to injury, Steele returned in 2024 for four games with eight tackles before appearing in 11 games in 2025, registering 16 tackles, one fumble recovery, and one pass break-up.
