CJ Miller is a running back from Gadsden, Alabama, who transferred to Toledo from Mercer University. At Gadsden City High School, he earned two all-county and all-state honors while accumulating over 1,300 rushing yards in his prep career. During his time at Mercer (2022–2025), Miller redshirted in 2022 with freshman eligibility retained, saw limited action in 2023, and appeared in two games that year. In 2024, he rushed for 404 yards and three touchdowns while adding six receptions. Most recently in 2025, Miller compiled 957 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns while ranking second in the Southern Conference in rushing and first in scoring. He also caught 26 passes for 314 yards and three touchdowns, earning First-team All-SoCon honors. Miller, a Communication major, now joins the Rockets as a junior college transfer.
