Kosi Okpala is a true freshman linebacker for the Texas Longhorns from Houston, Texas, who attended Mayde Creek High School. A four-star recruit ranked No. 138 nationally in the 2026 class, Okpala earned recognition as the No. 8 recruit in Texas by recruiting services. During his senior season, he recorded 40 tackles (27 solo), 13 tackles for loss, and seven sacks while adding 17 quarterback hurries, two passes defended, and a blocked punt. As a junior, he logged 55 tackles (39 solo) with 17 tackles for loss and five sacks. Okpala early enrolled in spring 2026 and currently holds jersey No. 18.
