KJ Edwards is a 5'10", 187-pound running back from Carthage, Texas, who enrolled at Texas A&M in January 2026. A consensus four-star recruit ranked No. 43 overall nationally by recruiting services, Edwards lettered four years at Carthage High School under head coach Scott Surratt. During his senior season, he rushed for 1,596 yards on 120 carries with 24 touchdowns while adding 23 receptions for 223 yards and one score. He holds program records with over 5,500 career rushing yards and 78 touchdowns. Edwards helped lead Carthage to a 57-2 four-year record and two 4A D2 UIL state titles, earning 2024 offensive MVP honors in the championship game.
