Pooh Lawton is a safety from Newark, N.J., who attended West Side High School. He began his college career at Slippery Rock, redshirting in 2022 before appearing in all 14 games as a reserve defensive back in 2023 with 10 tackles and one TFL. In 2024, Lawton started all 14 games and recorded 36 tackles, three interceptions, four pass break-ups, one TFL, and one forced fumble. He transferred to Temple for the 2025 season, making his debut against Howard and earning his first start at Army. In 2025, Lawton recorded 23 total tackles, one interception for 30 yards, 1.5 TFLs, and one pass defensed while lettering for the Owls.
