Nakeel Lawrence is a 6'1", 190-pound left cornerback for Temple who transferred in January 2025 from Butte College. At Butte as a redshirt sophomore, he played cornerback and safety while earning unanimous all-conference and all-state honors after allowing zero receptions in conference play and recording one interception. Lawrence previously attended West Hills College in Coalinga, California as a freshman in 2023 and redshirted during his sophomore year at Butte in 2024. He prepped at Watson Chapel in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where he played defensive back, wide receiver, and quarterback, earning all-conference and all-state accolades after rushing for 841 yards and 14 touchdowns at the quarterback position. Lawrence, a kinesiology major, is currently a redshirt junior at Temple.
