Denzel Chavis is a 6'0", 185-pound cornerback from Union City, New Jersey, who joined Temple as a member of the 2024 recruiting class. During his redshirt freshman season in 2025, Chavis appeared in every game and saw significant snaps at cornerback, recording 10 total tackles including a career-high 4 in his first start against East Carolina. He earned special teams player of the game honors in Temple's win over Tulsa and was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Chavis is currently a redshirt sophomore and competes at the cornerback position for the Owls.
