De'Carlos Young is a running back for Temple from Palmer Park, Maryland, who attended Dr. Henry A. Wise High School. A four-year letterwinner at his prep school, Young earned Maryland Class 4A Player of the Year honors twice (2023-24). As a senior, he rushed for 1,553 yards and 23 touchdowns while adding two more on kickoff returns. His junior season featured 126 carries for 1,395 yards and 25 touchdowns, with 1,646 all-purpose yards. Young also earned first-team All-Maryland recognition as a linebacker with 91 tackles. He redshirted during his 2025 freshman season and earned offensive practice player of the week honors during East Carolina workouts. Young returns as a redshirt freshman to compete at running back.
